Tallywise Privacy Policy

Tallywise may process the following information to provide features you choose to use:

Tallywise does not send expense records, receipt images or recognized text, trip budgets, or reports to a developer-controlled server. The developer does not operate a Tallywise account system and does not collect analytics or advertising identifiers from the app.

Receipt and budget-sheet scanning use Apple Vision and VisionKit on your device. You can review and edit recognized values before saving. Camera and photo access are requested only for a capture, attachment, or optional receipt-to-Photos action you initiate.

Local notifications, widgets, Siri, and Shortcuts use Apple platform services and a small local budget summary. These features do not require a Tallywise account.

When iCloud is available and enabled for Tallywise, Apple CloudKit and iCloud key-value storage may sync app data across your signed-in devices. Apple operates that service under your Apple ID and iCloud settings. Tallywise does not run a separate developer-controlled sync server.

If iCloud is unavailable, the app falls back to local device storage and remains usable offline.

Tallywise Lifetime is purchased through Apple StoreKit. Apple processes the transaction and payment information; Tallywise does not receive your payment-card details. The app requests the product and entitlement status from Apple and stores a local verified-access flag so unlocked features can remain available while offline. Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by Apple’s policies.

Tallywise can retrieve public reference-rate data from European Central Bank HTTPS endpoints. No expense record, receipt image or text, trip report, Tallywise account, or advertising identifier is intentionally included in these requests. You can disable automatic refresh and edit rates manually.

Printable PDF and Excel-compatible spreadsheet reports are generated only when you choose to save or share them. After export, the file is controlled by the destination and sharing options you select.

App data remains until you delete individual records, delete a trip, use Reset Everything, or remove the app and its data through Apple platform controls. Reset Everything clears local expenses and receipt files, trip settings, and preferences. If iCloud sync is active, app-data changes are handled through Apple CloudKit. Receipt copies you separately saved to Photos must be deleted from Photos.

Because Tallywise has no developer account or developer-held expense database, EvaluationSpark cannot directly inspect or delete data held only on your device or in your Apple iCloud account. Contact support for help locating the relevant controls.

Tallywise is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. This policy may be updated when features or data practices change; the effective date will be updated for material changes.
